Hawk & Dove #1. And that's about anything good I can say about it. Ugh. Where to begin? The book in no way makes the characters interesting or even make you care about them. It acts like you're supposed to know who they are already, yet still gives you a half-assed "origin." There's a threat mentioned, and even shown, but you don't even take it seriously. I just don't see how we're supposed to shell out $3 bucks a month for this. If you like Rob Liefeld's art, then you'll enjoy it. If you don't, then you won't. There's nothing new brought to the table with this one at all. I never knew much about Hawk & Dove before this (except for their lame inclusion in the last volume of Birds of Prey), but I'm pretty sure this title didn't make them anymore worth-a-damn.
